Imari Smith


Imari Smith is a doctoral student in Duke University’s Joint Program in Sociology and Public Policy studying the relationship between health disparities, intersectional identities, and discrimination throughout the life course. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies with Highest Distinction from Duke University and a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior from the UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. Prior to her doctoral studies, Imari served as a Health Equity Research Associate and NIH Grant Project Manager for the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University.
