Jessica Meza


Jessica is a senior at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma studying strategic communications and Spanish with minors in international studies and marketing. Jessica grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma but loves to travel. Recently, she spent 5 months in México as a foreign exchange student at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. Previously, Jessica was involved with the Media Ecology and Strategic Analysis Group as a research assistant and is currently a Ronald E. McNair scholar conducting her own research on Hispanic/Latinx representation in the media. Jessica hopes to pursue a graduate degree and do research on topics related to diplomacy, diversity, acculturation, assimilation of minority groups, language inclusion, the importance of cultural diversity within academics and mass media, the interaction of multicultural groups, inequality and or problems concerning race and ethnicity. Jessica is very excited to be participating in the Pandemic Journaling Project.
